People. In 2006, the "Finest Worksongs" event celebrated the release of R.E.M.'s
best of IRS years compilations with Athens bands performing R.E.M. songs.
Please note that the band will neither perform nor be in attendance at the event.
For more information about the release party, contact Jeff Montgomery at 706-380-

notes with essays from producers Mitch Easter and Don Dixon, among others. The
first disc is a remastered version of the original album and the second contains a
previously unreleased concert R.E.M. played at Larry's Hideaway in Toronto a few
months after the release of the album.
