The new album by Love Tractor was a conscious attempt on the part of Mike Richmond to be a sort of "Through the Looking Glass" experience. Like Alice in Wonderland falling down the proverbial rabbit hole, the listener in this case enters the Black Hole and has a kind of surreal, somewhat non-sensical, little bit scary trip. Musically it's very much inspired by early 70's hard rock and prog rock bands, especially Deep Purple, Yes, Uriah Heep, King Crimson, T. Rex. and Pink Floyd - yet with all the flourishes that Love Tractor has come to offer in past releases.
